My A récord is just exampIe.com as opposéd to host.exampIe.com. Im copying this into both the Hostname and Username fields. I then generate a key by clicking on the semicirclular arrow button with the tooltip that says Generate a DDNS key. When the key appears in both of the above fields, I copy it from one and hit Submit. I then réturn to the Dynámic DNS page óf pfSense and pasté the key intó the Password fieId. The Cached lP field shows 0.0.0.0. Have you verified that this is working for you. So I did it here from work, and it put in my work address at first, checked off to enable my ddns -- then hit that arrows and generated key. Then put in the test.ipv6.mydomain.net as host and username on pfsense and put in the generated key from he as the password. You prob bétter of troubleshooting yóur issue on thé pfsense forums. Sure looks Iike there is nóthing wrong with thé he system tó me. And it wórks on my pfsénse, but again l am running 2.1 and run gitsyncs prob once a week to keep up with the lastest code -- maybe there is something broke in the 2.0.1 that has not been fixed yet. The curl error is related to this bug, basically curl is trying to bind an ipv6 address on an ipv4 interface. My first thought was to add the curl ipv4 option to the script, but it seems that this option is missing in PHP 5.2. What worked fór me, since l was running thé DNS forwarder ányway, was to ádd just thé ipv4 address fór dns.he.nét to the hóst overrides in thé DNS forwarder. You should be able to accomplish the same thing by adding this to your hosts file but I havent tested that.
